Dallas student dies at after prom party

Yesterday I was watching the news andseen this story that made me feel so sad, it's also in todays' newspaper. There was this senior who went to school in McKinney and after prom he and his friends did what just about every other kid does. he went to a prom after party, and got wasted. His friends found him the next morning and called the the authorities. He died from alcohol poisoning. and it just makes me think don't I see this story every year around this time? Young people do this every year don't they? why wouldn't they learn from their peers mistakes? What is so hard about limiting yourself? I know that he's a minor and he's not legally allowed to drink at all, but the reality is that kids drink. but why not do it in a smart way?Why not have one or two drinks and call it a night?Because kids are stuppid that's why.All they can think about is having fun in the moment.They want to act like adults, they can make an adult decision by drinking, but nobody's ready for the adult consequences. And I felt so bad for this guys mom because she's the victim in this situattion. How was she supposed to know that when she sent her son off to prom it would be the last time she would see him alive?There's nothing that she can do that would bring her son back. I don't know this whole thing is just so frustrating because one day my kids are going to be in high school and I just don't want them to have to go through things like that.

Feud between brothers leaves 1 dead

I read this article on the Fort Worth Star Telegram website. That really caught my interest. I was on the website for a while looking through all of their articles. They all had something interesting in them but none of them really caught my attention, except for one. The article was about a feud between two brothers, that ended with one dead and the other in jail in Dallas. How the argument started is unknown, but apparently there's been ongoing tension between the brothers. After the victim was killed, the suspect went to their mothers workplace with intent to harm her, where he was apprehended and arrested by Dallas police officers.
